Workshop for Polish public institutions

Together with Dagmara Szczepańska and Magda Walczuk, we delivered a workshop as part of efforts to prepare Polish public institutions to receive and work with migrants from Latin America. We sincerely thank the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Pomorskie Welcome Center for their support and cooperation. The meeting addressed social, economic and political context of Latin America, structural violence, inequalities, and migration processes to provide a basic understanding of how these global dynamics are increasingly relevant for Poland and the Pomeranian region. Strengthening understanding of migrants' backgrounds and experiences is an important step toward building effective and inclusive public policies in Poland.
