On October 3, 2024, we hosted the Round Table on Brazilian Studies Abroad. Organized together with the Association of Brazilianists in Europe (ABRE), this roundtable gathered scholars and professionals from diverse backgrounds to engage in a comprehensive discussion on the state and significance of Brazilian studies beyond Brazil’s borders.
The roundtable featured the Executive Committee of ABRE, whose members brought a wealth of expertise and insights into the challenges and developments in Brazilian studies. The event offered a dynamic platform for addressing critical themes such as the impact of Brazilian studies in international academia, the current trends in research, and the importance of cross-cultural exchanges.
